Our annual Robot Combat event is back - and bigger than ever! In addition to robot battles, our 2026 event will include the Southwest Virginia Showcase. This robotics showcase will bring teams from around the region to share their robot and offer hands-on STEM activities. Meet the teams, drive the robots, and learn how to get involved with your local robotics teams.

This summer five local teens gained woodworking skills and confidence through an eight-week summer program by Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Virginia, Vector Space, and BWX Technologies. Working together under Vector Space instruction, students and mentors built a sandbox and shade structure for the Jubilee Family Development Center.

Some people discover craftsmanship as a hobby. For Silas, it became not just a fascination but a way of life before most teenagers had their first job.

We could not have felt more supported or more grateful for the way Lynchburg showed up for our 10th Birthday Celebration on Saturday May 30th —and for the way this community has supported Vector Space over the past decade.

Vector Space congratulates Margot Marcais, a recent graduate of Amherst County High School, who, in her final semester, represented the region at the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) in Phoenix, Arizona, earlier this year.

Vector Space is 10! We are throwing a birthday party to celebrate. Join us on Saturday, May 30 to mark this milestone together. Whether you are a first time visitor or seasoned maker, we hope you will join the celebration! RSVP to help us plan accurately: vector-space.org/10-year-anniversary-celebration

We are recruiting for the 2027 Robotics season!

Current 8-10th graders are invited to attend the Robotics Open House on Friday, May 15. Join us after school to tour the makerspace, meet the team, and check out the robot.
