In-Person Member Orientation

All new members are required to attend an in-person orientation session before using the space independently. These sessions will cover everything you need to know to get started safely and confidently at Vector Space! Established members who’d like to reconnect with the space after our 2023 move and recent improvements are also welcome to attend!
Each session includes:
- A guided tour of the space
- Scavenger hunt and basic info collection
- Distribution of the Member Handbook, an essential resource guide
- Distribution of key fobs
- Snacks and a Q&A session with staff
- Time to meet other members
Session Length: 1 to 2 hours

Instructors
Elise Spontarelli
Elise loves vectors. She's made an entrepreneurial career rendering lines, arcs, and polygons, and since cofounding Vector Space, the addiction has only gotten worse. You'll often find Elise giving her designs life by vinyl cutting, laser engraving, and silk screening. When she's not enthralled by graphics, you'll find her in the wood shop making toys and home decor.
Elise is also a strong advocate of the maker movement, and Vector Space's fearless leader.
Mollie Walsh
Mollie Walsh, artist, maker hobbyist and outreach coordinator for Vector Space. Mollie is seen around the makerspace dabbling in every shop but has a special connection to the lasering area. She has been a professional painter for many years and she is expanding her horizons as weaves the knowledge she brings to the space with the knowledge she finds here at her creative home.
