Ashley Marot

Ashley Marot is an artist and art teacher specializing in 2 dimensional art media. She is from the Richmond area originally but has taught youth art classes for over 10 years, including: NOVA at George Mason University, Fairfax County, Brooklyn, NY, and presently at EC Glass in Lynchburg City. She has a B.A. in Studio Art and M.A.T from Sweet Briar College. Ashley’s artwork focuses on mixed media techniques that emphasize layering, texture, and form. Her subjects range from expressive portraiture to collaged still lifes. Her work often emphasizes the process of its creation and lets it exist as a visual history in the final work. She currently resides in Lynchburg, VA with her husband, son, and rescue pup.
