Members with minors

Members with Minors

Minors (anyone under 18) are not permitted to be members of Vector Space. This means that,

1. They may not have a key to Vector Space
2. They may not be left alone at Vector Space
3. They may not use tools that require safety training, except when permitted by an instructor during a formal Vector Space class
4. They may not interfere with members or classes. Members get priority on all tools.

Members are allowed to bring their minor children to Vector Space on more than just a guest policy basis. The expectation is that parent and child are working together. Under no circumstances are minors allowed to operate tools without direct supervision. Minors are however permitted to use tools that do not require safety training while accompanied by their parent (jigsaw, 3D printer, sewing machine, etc.).
