Making has always been what Ken does. He started by taking things apart when he was very young and progressed through jobs as a small engine mechanic, cabinetmaker/millman and civil engineer. As a child he would make boats and other wood projects in his grandfather’s workshop, tackling a larger project each summer. One year it was a hang glider (before they were a thing). Later he moved on to remodeling and house expansion projects: concrete, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, drywall and roofing.
His interests at Vector Space include woodworking, machining, blacksmithing, 3D printing and combat robots. He has a junior college teaching credential in woodworking and many years’ experience in CNC router programming and operation. Ken has been blacksmithing off and on for that last 10 years. He loves to teach and looks forward to working with each new group of students!
