Description
This introductory class in mechanical design focuses on the workflow for building robotics components. Students will be introduced to CAD, CNC tools, motors, gears, and the engineering design process. No prior technical experience is required. This training will be lead by FRC mentors, with returning FRC students assisting.
These three days of learning will culminate in a fully functional robotic component prototype! Students will experience a brief taste of what it is like to work on the robotics team with peers towards a shared goal.
This training is for students interested in joining out FIRST Robotics Competition team - a high quality, high reward program that begins with a handful of practices in the Fall semester and transitions to an intense after school engineering experience in the Spring semester.
