Description	Learn MIG welding by making a Halloween themed sculpture you can place in your house! Class will begin with a safety lesson, followed by welding fundamentals. Class will then move into the shop area to begin practicing by welding plates together. Finally we will build your rebar art peace that you can take home to be proudly displayed. COVID-19 and Class Safety Policies For COVID-19 safety requirements during all classes, we ask that participants and instructors, as well as members working in the space, wear a mask indoors at all times while working in Vector Space and maintain a safe distance of 6ft from each other at all times while in Vector Space. For class safety, participants are asked to wear short sleeves, no jewelry, and long hair must be secured behind the head using a ponytail holder.
Required Knowledge	None
Required Equipment	Jeans, Cotton shirt, Closed toed shoes ideally boots. (Mesh top running shoes are discouraged) Do not wear your favorite clothes. Welding can be messy.
Required Materials	None, all materials are provided
Class Fee	$80 ($70 for members)

Instructors

Greg Johnston

My main interests are woodworking and metalworking. Throughout my college years I worked with a master cabinet maker on various projects. My specialty is welding and have a Welding Engineering Degree. I enjoy teaching others the skills and knowledge that I have acquired over my many different projects. I also enjoy learning new skills from other members. As a side note, I am always coming up with way more projects than I’m able to complete.
