Des is a retired engineer who has worked with wood most of this life and now creates one of a kind wooden bowls, boxes, coffee tables and other wooden items he is asked to make. He offers wood turning classes at Vector Space, is a member of the Central VA woodworkers guild, a member of the Virginia Artisans Trail and owns the Forest Splinters Threads business with his wife. His work can be seen at Goose Creek Studios in Bedford VA.
