Description

This class is for experienced welders to learn the basics of TIG welding. Insturuction will include proper setup, metal preparation, and basic TIG welding fabrication techniques. Class will include cleaning, fitting, and tacking of assembly, then welding using Tig process. Students will make and take home a metal tray made of 14ga steel.

Instructors

Mark Newman

Mark is a metal machinist, fabricator, welder, mechanic, & general flunky. His hobbies include wood working, building, and gardening. He is a member of the Ruritan and Presbyterian clubs. Mark's teaching experience includes welding and machine shop instructor at CVCC and Vector Space.
