It's a double feature! We have a classic Vector Space activity back again, plus a special art project with The Listening, Inc.
For our Tech Take-Apart participants are invited to use tools to dismantle printers and other electronics to discover what's inside. This activity is great for curious kids AND adults- your experience level will dictate the tool we entrust to you.
Outside on Court St. we will have an interactive art project. The Listening: Before I Die Project invites you to leave your mark on our chalkboard-painted garage door. Started by artist Candy Chang, the “Before I Die” project has challenged communities all over the world to consider how we approach our own death and mortality, and the meaning we attach to it. There will be an open mic at Speakertree on November 8th, hosted by The Listening.
First Fridays at Vector Space is sponsored by The Greater Lynchburg Community Foundation. Each month we offer a free and family-friendly activity. Learn new skills, see demonstrations, and meet other makers on the first Friday of the month, 5-8pm. For other First Friday happenings, visit Downtown Lynchburg Association.
