In this two day workshop, students will be guided to use forge, tongs,hammer, and anvil to make a Hook and Leaf.

Duration  5 total hours cut in half between two workshop meetings:

Tuesday, January 19th from 6-8:30pm

Thursday, January 21st from 6-8:30pm

Cost $65 for non-members and $55 for members

Description

This workshop is a two day event where, following explanation and demonstration by the instructor, students will be guided to use forge, tongs,hammer, and anvil to make a Hook and Leaf. 

The same basic skills are taught in each, but different products will be the result.  The skills include ‘taper and draw out’, ‘square – octagon  round’, ‘twist and loop’, and ‘bar’.  Although this is a beginner class, be prepared to deliver some heavy hammer blows on hot steel.

COVID-19 and Class Safety Policies

For COVID-19 safety requirements during all classes, we ask that participants and instructors, as well as members working in the space, wear a mask covering their nose and mouth while working in Vector Space as well as maintain a safe distance of 6ft  from each other at all times.

For class safety, participants are asked to wear short sleeves, no jewelry, and long hair must be secured behind the head using a ponytail holder.
