Workshop Details

Following explanation and demonstration by the instructor, students will be guided to use forge, tongs,hammer and anvil to make a letter opener. Under instructor supervision and guidance, they will isolate and set down the tang, form the profile of the blade, forge a bevel on the blade, draw out and wrap the tang. Hand work with rasp and sandpaper will produce a smooth finish on the piece.

COVID-19 and Class Safety Policies

For COVID-19 safety requirements during all classes, we ask that participants and instructors, as well as members working in the space, wear a mask indoors at all times while working in Vector Space and maintain a safe distance of 6ft  from each other at all times while in Vector Space.

For class safety, participants are asked to wear short sleeves, no jewelry, and long hair must be secured behind the head using a ponytail holder.
