Class Name Christmas Woodturning challenge: Wooden Christmas Tree Ornaments

Class Size 3 participants per session. There will be two sessions. One starting at 1 pm and another starting at 3pm.

Description
Woodturing instructor Des Black is offering a special woodturning workshop on Sunday, December 6th for any previously trained woodturners (Introduction and Advanced) to participate in a Christmas tree ornament turnathon.
There will be 2 turnathon workshops available with a of max 3 turners per class. The first workshop will start at 1 pm and the second one will start at 2pm. During the workshop, Des will provide advice and direction as well as finish for your completed wooden tree. All 3 lathes will be in use at suitably distanced positions. The goal is to create beautiful wooden tree figures that can be given as a gift or hung on your Christmas Tree.
The cost for the workshop is $65 for non-members and $55 for members. You can choose your wood with a maximum of 3 pieces to create in each 2-hour session. Wood blanks will be provided and is included in the cost. The wood blanks available to choose from are Red Oak, Cherry, Hard Maple, Padauk, Walnut, Ambrosia Maple and Purple Heart.
COVID-19 and Class Safety Policies
For COVID-19 safety requirements, we ask that all participants of classes, as well as members working in the space, wear a mask over their nose and mouth while indoors at all times while working in Vector Space. We also ask that you maintain a safe distance of 6ft from each other at all times while in Vector Space as well.
Because there will be close contact with the instructor, an extra layer of COVID-19 precautions will be in place such as both a mask and a face shield will be worn by the instructor along with gloves as the he will need to guide your hand along the lathe for added safety during instruction.
For class safety, participants are asked to wear short sleeves, no jewelry, and long hair must be secured behind the head using a ponytail holder. Safety apparel of a dust mask, full face shield, and leather apron will be required for participants to wear during the class session.
During instruction, there will be physical touch from the instructor as he will need to guide your hand along the lathe as you work for increased safety measures. Gloves will be worn by the instructor at during this time.
